'Amore Pink' dutchman's breeches (Dicentra 'Amore Pink') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
