Notes

'April Dawn' dahlia (Dahlia 'April Dawn') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. Plants can reach about 71 inches tall, so you may want to stake them.

Pairs well with So White gaura, Anise hyssop, and Cloud Nine switchgrass.
