Notes

'Arthur Cook' rose (Rosa 'Arthur Cook') is a compact shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows 30 to 35 inches tall and bears fragrant, dark red blooms from late spring into early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Samuel McGredy II bred it in 1924.

Pairs well with Gaura, Indian grass, and Ornamental onion.
