Notes

'Gypsy' rose (Rosa 'Gypsy') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant orange-red blooms open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and again in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Herbert C. Swim and O. L. Weeks bred it in 1972.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Lily, and The President clematis.
