Notes

'Atropurpureum' white clover (Trifolium repens 'Atropurpureum') is a groundcover for pollinator gardens, naturalized areas, and covering bare ground. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It creeps at a rapid pace and stays 3 to 6 inches tall. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms in spring and summer.

Pairs well with Betony, Cup plant, and Common comfrey.
