Notes

'Avalanche' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Avalanche') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. White petals surround a yellow-green center cone, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Butterfly milkweed, Prairie dropseed, and Nodding onion.
