Notes

'Green Jewel' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Green Jewel') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer tend to pass it by. The light green petals surround a dark green cone and bloom from late spring through summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Eastern columbine, Indian Summer rudbeckia, and Nodding onion.
