Notes

'Bartram' coral bells (Heuchera americana 'Bartram') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, woodland gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy soil. It forms a clumping mound up to 24 inches tall and tolerates drought. Greenish white flowers with a red tinge appear in spring and again in summer, and bees visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Prairie dropseed, and Cinnamon fern.
