Notes

Bicolor basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Basil, Bicolor') is an herb for containers, borders, and food gardens. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Its leaves show contrasting purple and green.

Pairs well with Black Magic kale, Curly parsley, and Dittany of crete.
