Notes

'Batsto Blush' sweet pepperbush (Clethra alnifolia 'Batsto Blush') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, hedges, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pale pink, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Sensitive fern, and White fringe tree.
