Notes
'Benblack' rose (Rosa 'Benblack') is a shrub for borders and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Dark red blooms stand out against dark green leaves on an upright, compact habit. Frank A. Benardella bred it in 1985, and it stays 18 to 24 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Avens, and Ornamental onion.
