Notes
Black cat claw (Acacia redolens) is an evergreen shrub for ground cover. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry soil. It reaches 3 to 6 feet tall and can spread 10 to 20 feet wide, so give it plenty of room. Yellow flowers appear in mid to late spring.
Pairs well with Douglas iris, Heavy Metal switchgrass, and Singleleaf pinyon.
Native range
Western Australia.
