Notes

'Black Eyed Beauty' calla lily (Zantedeschia 'Black Eyed Beauty') is a bulb for cut flowers, accents, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and wet, loamy or clay soil. The chartreuse green spathe has a dark blotch in the center and surrounds a lemon yellow spadix, and the heavily mottled leaves are shaped like arrowheads. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It blooms in spring, summer, and autumn.

Pairs well with Water forget-me-not, Fox sedge, Southern wood fern, and Allegheny monkeyflower.
