Notes
Black goji berry (Lycium ruthenicum) is a shrub grown for fresh eating, dried fruit, and tea. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Purple flowers open from early to late summer. Heavy crops of purple-black fruit can bend this upright shrub into a weeping shape. A second plant may give heavier crops on both.
Pairs well with Helene Von Stein lamb’s ear, Heavy Metal switchgrass, and Autumn moor grass.
