Notes
'Helene Von Stein' lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina 'Helene Von Stein') is a clumping perennial for borders, rock gardens, and edging in perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is drought tolerant and stays evergreen, and bees and butterflies visit it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Stargazer lily.
