Notes

Bloodberry (Rivina humilis) is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Birds eat the red, almost translucent fruits. Pale pink flowers and scarlet fruit often show at the same time. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Asiatic jasmine, White bigleaf hydrangea, and Society garlic.
