Notes

Asiatic jasmine (Trachelospermum asiaticum) is a vine for ground cover, borders, containers, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It grows fast and stays evergreen, so it fills a bed quickly. The cream and white blooms smell sweet and draw bees. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Japanese maple, and Lily of the valley.

Native range

Asia, Hainan, Nansei-shoto, and Ogasawara-shoto.
