Notes

'Blue Barlow' columbine (Aquilegia vulgaris 'Blue Barlow') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Plants reach 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Foxglove, Lupine, and Silver feather grass.
