Notes

'Blue Ice' mealycup sage (Salvia farinacea 'Blue Ice') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound, and bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers in spring, summer, and autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it easy to keep.

Pairs well with Statice, Creme de Cognac dahlia, and Mondo grass.
