Notes

'Blue' lobelia (Lobelia speciosa 'Blue') is a perennial for borders, containers, and mass plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Blue flower spikes open from early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn above bright green foliage. It sits low on the menu for rabbits. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Bigleaf hydrangea, Fountain grass, and California poppy.
