Notes

'Border Chief' daffodil (Narcissus 'Border Chief') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have a bowl-shaped orange cup with a lightly frilled rim, and they attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. J.L. Richardson bred it.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Christmas fern, and Duchesse de Nemours peony.
