Notes

'Bright Gold' Japanese yew (Taxus cuspidata 'Bright Gold') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, accents, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is evergreen and drought tolerant, and it grows quickly into a broad shape up to 84 inches wide. Birds visit it. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Panicle hydrangea, Toad lily, and Greig's tulip.
