Notes

Toad lily (Tricyrtis hirta) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet soil. Arching stems carry ornate, orchid-like flowers that are white with purple spots. It blooms late in the season, so it brightens the shade when most other plants have faded.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Wild ginger, Cinnamon fern, and Western sword fern.
