Notes

Greig's tulip (Tulipa greigii) is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its flowers are deep fiery scarlet, with a black blotch at the base edged in yellow. The mottled leaves add interest before the red blooms open in early to late spring.

Pairs well with Tete-a-Tete daffodil, Creeping thyme, Blue fescue, and Perennial candytuft.
