Notes

'Bunting' columbine (Aquilegia 'Bunting') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, woodland gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Sky blue sepals and white petals open in spring and again in summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Bellwort, Royal fern, and Butterfly milkweed.
