Notes

'Buttercup' lily (Lilium 'Buttercup') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The yellow, heavily spotted flowers open in July on stems about 4 to 5 feet tall. The blooms are fragrant and draw butterflies and hummingbirds. J. de Graaff bred it.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Raspberry Sundae peony, and Christmas fern.
