Notes

Cape primrose (Streptocarpus saxorum) is a perennial for containers and shade gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its cascading stems reach 6 to 8 inches tall and spread 8 to 12 inches. Purple and white flowers appear in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Green and gold, Little brown jug, and Christmas fern.
