Notes
'Carmen' Dutch iris (Iris hollandica 'Carmen') is a bulb for cut flower arrangements, sunny borders, and dry summer beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The ivory white flowers have lavender and yellow accents. The plant goes dormant in summer, so give it well-drained to dryish soil where it can bake. You can overplant it with thyme, Sedum, and Delosperma.
Pairs well with Gladiolus, Spiderwort, and Stargazer lily.
