'Telstar' Dutch iris (Iris hollandica 'Telstar') is a bulb for cut flowers, borders, and mass planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Its royal blue flowers have a yellow patch on each fall, and it blooms in spring. Plant it where the soil drains well and stays dry in summer when the bulb is dormant. Thyme or Sedum planted over it can cover the bare spot.

Pairs well with Daffodil, Gladiolus, and Carnation.
