Notes

Dutch iris (Iris hollandica) is a bulb for cut flowers, borders, and sunny beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The blue flowers open in spring, and Spring Mix offers purple, yellow, and white too. The bulbs go dormant in summer, so overplant them with ground covers like thyme, Sedum, and Delosperma.

Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Stargazer lily.
