Notes

Cautleya (Cautleya gracilis) is a perennial for ground cover and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet soil. Slender stems reach about two feet tall and carry spikes of yellow flowers with bright red bracts. The flowers open one after another over a month or more, and the red bracts last for the whole bloom period.

Pairs well with Little brown jug, Mondo grass, and White bigleaf hydrangea.
