Notes

Chaste tree (Vitex agnus-castus) is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, specimens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Violet blue flowers open in summer and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. It grows fast, so give it room to reach its full size. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Mexican hat, and Stonecrop.
