Notes

'Chicago Fire' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Chicago Fire') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. The fragrant red flowers have a green throat. Rabbits tend to pass it by. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms, and the plant handles drought and salt.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Knapweed, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, and Little Beauty tulip.
