Notes

Chinese-quince (Pseudocydonia sinensis) is a tree for food gardens and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense shape and tolerates drought once settled. Fragrant pink flowers open from early to late spring, and the gold or yellow foliage shows fall color.

Pairs well with Crab apple, Blueberry, Lemon thyme, and Greig's tulip.
