Notes

'Christmas Is' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Christmas Is') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Red flowers with a green throat are fragrant and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Nodding onion, and Western sword fern.
