Notes

Cider gum (Eucalyptus gunnii) is an evergreen tree for low maintenance and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The leaves are fragrant, and birds visit the tree. It is also drought tolerant, so it suits dry beds.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Agapanthus, and Fountain grass.
