Notes

Mountain gum (Eucalyptus dalrympleana) is a tree for low maintenance and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The silvery trunk and dangling leaves make a striking specimen, and the aromatic foliage has a hint of cinnamon. It sits low on the menu for deer. Once established, it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Bay laurel, Purple sage, and Mondo grass.
