Notes

'Citrus' coneflower (Echinacea 'Citrus') is a perennial for containers, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and the front of borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The blooms open light green, turn lemon yellow, and age to pale orange around a fragrant, golden cone. It sits low on the menu for deer. Bees visit the flowers in summer and again in autumn.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Bowl of Cream peony.
