Notes

'Classic Romantic' centaurea (Centaurea cyanus 'Classic Romantic') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It stands erect and blooms in pink, white, or bicolor from early to late spring and again in summer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Double Zahara Cherry zinnia, Old Rose Dandy peony, and Red fescue.
