Notes

'Pinkie' cornflower (Centaurea cyanus 'Pinkie') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Common poppy, False Queen Anne's lace, and California poppy.
