Notes

Comfrey (Symphytum grandiflorum) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It forms a clumping mound that grows fast and bears creamy yellow to white flowers in spring and again in summer. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Fragrant Bouquet hosta, Japanese forest grass, and Ornamental onion.
