Notes
Globe amaranth (Gomphrena globosa) is an annual for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is drought tolerant and needs little care. Its white to yellow blooms have bright magenta bracts, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Supertunia Really Red petunia, Red fescue, and Vesuvius nasturtium.
Native range
Central America and northern South America.
