Notes
'QIS Purple' gomphrena (Gomphrena globosa 'QIS Purple') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It stands erect at 18 to 28 inches tall and tolerates drought. It sits low on the menu for deer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, which work well in fresh and dried arrangements.
Pairs well with Supertunia Royal Velvet petunia, Red fescue, and Pearly everlasting.
