Notes

Corsican hellebore (Helleborus argutifolius) is a perennial for borders, containers, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Pale green flowers open in winter and spring. The evergreen leaves are blue, gray, or green, so the clumps add winter interest. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Christmas fern, Japanese forest grass, and Oakleaf hydrangea.
