Notes
'Crazy Cayenne' threadleaf coreopsis (Anacis verticillata 'Crazy Cayenne') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies and bees. It is also drought tolerant.
Pairs well with Coneflower, Lavender, Red-hot poker, and Feather reed grass.
