Notes
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is an herb for borders, pollinator gardens, hedges, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. Pink, purple, or white flowers open from early to late summer and attract bees and butterflies. The fragrant gray and green leaves stay evergreen, and the plant tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Lily, and Garlic chives.
