Notes

Crimson-spot rockrose (Cistus ladanifer) is a shrub for borders, containers, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil of most types. The evergreen leaves are fragrant, and butterflies visit the flowers in spring and summer. It tolerates drought once settled in. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Silver feather grass, Licorice plant, and Yarrow.
