Notes

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), also called common yarrow, is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Flat clusters of small white flowers sit above feathery, gray-green, aromatic leaves. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms for nectar.

Pairs well with Nodding onion, Switchgrass, and Creeping phlox.
