Notes
'Sunset' purple-flowered rock rose (Cistus incanus 'Sunset') is a shrub for borders, low maintenance gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil of most types. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It stays evergreen and handles drought and salt. Butterflies visit the flowers, which open in spring and again in summer.
Pairs well with Elfin mother of thyme, Shenandoah switchgrass, Globemaster allium, and Sea kale.
