Notes

'Cupcake' rose (Rosa 'Cupcake') is a compact shrub for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It stays about 18 inches tall and has medium green leaves. Fragrant, medium pink blooms open in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Mark C. Spies bred it in 1981.

Pairs well with Pink Hawaiian Coral peony, Virginia sweetspire, and Ornamental onion.
